Athletics
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOYS VARSITY TEAM
We would like to congratulate the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Enrique Hurtado and team on winning the Catholic Youth Organization Boys Basketball Championship. The championship game took place on March 18, 2009 at the Los Angeles Staples Center against San Pedro's Mary Star of the Sea.
Also, congratulations to the Boys Varsity Flag Football team on winning the C.Y.O. Football Championship!
Los Angeles Councilmember Tom LaBonge presented both varsity teams with a special certificate from the City of Los Angeles honoring St. Charles Borromeo School's boys football and basketball teams for their first place finish in the league. The honorary certificate was signed by the L.A. Councilmember Tom LaBonge and the L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Along with the certificate they were invited by Councilmember LaBonge for a special V.I.P. tour of the L.A. Coliseum.
Students in
grades five through eight are eligible to
participate in the
Catholic Youth
Organization (CYO) after school sports
programs. All students must meet eligiblity
requirements and submit a permission slip and
participation fee for each sport. Further

Choir
Students in
grades 4 through 8 audition for our school choir
conducted by Maestro Paul Salamunovich. Students
participate in choir practice twice each week
and perform at various masses and events.

Student Council
Eligible
students in the middle school grades run for
office and conduct various activities and
programs throughout the school year. The student
council provides leadership to students and also
host fundraisers that provide money and goods
that are used to assist the less fortunate, both
locally and worldwide.

Yearbook
Students in
middle school grades are given the oppurtunity
to assist with producing the annual school
yearbook. All students recieve a yearbook at the
close of the school year.
